Color is as important as fit when it comes to choosing the right bikini. Selecting one that enhances your features could make the difference in its presentation. We are all unique in size and shape as well as skin tone and shade. Therefore, some general guidelines have been created to categorize us into seasons; winter, summer, autumn and spring. To find the undertone of your skin, look at the inside of your arm in natural light. Then use the following to determine your season and the colors that would suit you the best.
Winter and summer are both cool seasons with blue or pinkish undertones. However, what distinguishes between the two is the contrast between hair & eye color and skin tone. Winters are usually brunette with dark eyes whereas, summer tends to be natural blondes with light eyes. Winters look best in black, navy blue, red, white and cool blues, pinks and yellows. Lean away from beige, orange and gold. Summer should go with neutral and pastel colors such as powder blue, dusty pink and purplish hues. Avoid black and orange as they are too harsh.
Autumn and spring are warm tones with peach, beige or golden undertones. Those with golden eyes whether they are redheads or brunettes are autumn and should wear rich, earthly, spicy colors such as: beige, olive, orange, gold and dark browns. All the colors one would see in the fall leaves. Avoid pastels and blue tones. Spring are usually golden blondes, auburn &/or strawberry redheads. Freckles and rosy cheeks are strong characteristics of this group. Tend toward pale colors like peach, camel, golden browns and yellows, aqua, ivory, clear blues and coral. Avoid black, white and other dull dark colors.
